Poco General FAQ - Cost of upgrading

Q: I'm thinking of buying Poco and have just one question. What is Poco's stance on upgrades? How much will they cost?

A:
If you bought Poco 2 between Jan.1, 2003 and June 27, 2003, the upgrade to Poco 3 is free. To receive your free Poco 3 registration code, enter the Poco Extras zone and follow the instructions. It may take a few days to get your new code as PocoSystems are receiving a lot of requests.

If you purchased Poco 2 before 2003, you may purchase a Poco 3 license at half-price. Use your Poco 2 code to enter the Poco Extras zone and follow the instructions. It may take a few days to get your new code as PocoSystems are receiving a lot of requests.

Please note, these policies are subject to change. Please check the Pocomail site for the most current and official information.

From Michael:
Slaven has been extremely generous with the upgrades. Poco 2.5, due out very shortly in Beta, will be a free upgrade to all current Poco 2 users. Speaking as an alpha tester of this software, the enhancements in this version are so significant that it could very easily be called Poco 3.

From Slaven:

  • Poco 2.5 will be a free upgrade;
  • If there is another Poco 2.x, it will also be a free upgrade;
  • Poco 3 would be a half-price upgrade to registered users - this would be a first time a Poco upgrade will cost money, as some of you remember Poco 2 was given for free to registered users of Poco 1.x.
