Show me the money (pricing?)

Perhaps this is out of place in the forums, if so, forgive me and move it to the right spot.

I've decided a REALLY like the version 4 features that bothered me at first when testing the beta.

So my question would be -- what will the release version of 4 cost me as a current owner of version 3?

Gotta know so I can start putting my pennies in a tin can in the backyard to buy it ASAP!

Thanks Gary!

The upgrade will cost money, our major upgrades are half-price for current owners (unless you bought recently, since May 2005). So at the current price the upgrade would cost just under $20.

Whoo-hoo!

Just get this version through beta into perfection :D and my check will be in the mail -- or my credit card will come out -- or my Paypal will be sent -- or whatever.

Excellent.

After reading this and not been able to join the beta program I am getting very curious what is worth these 20 dollars.
Is there anybody (Slaven) who can tell what are the major improvements?

When you say 'Improved IMAP support', how much improved?

Will pocomail now actually be usable as a real IMAP email client?

I ask because due to a takeover we have moved from an Exchange server back to a Courier IMAP server on my work. So instead of Outlook for my office email and pocomail for my private mail, I now need a good IMAP client which can handle both accounts. The current version of pocomail only support the INBOX folder and is therefore no option for me. Should I wait for version 4? (and no, I'm not a patient man :D, I am already waiting for proper IMAP support in pocomail for 2 years now :( )

I personally don't use IMAP, but from what I've read in the Beta section it has improved a lot.
Can't tell you the specifics about the beta version though. :?

I think so, but it's best to let an IMAP user answer that. :)

I have to correct myself: the official upgrade price is $29.95 and has been for some time at our Poco store (my apologies, I don't deal with sales too often  !), but we will have a coupon on launch for all the eager early birds that should help with that! :)

- Improved Unicode support

???
Why not full Unicode support?
I'm really hoping that Poco will finally be able to read and write emails using utf-8.

Full unicode support can mean many things (for example, UTF-8 and Unicode represent different functionality) - but UTF-8 support should work for reading and writing email, that's definitely our goal for this version.

Great! That's good to hear.

Will old received mail using utf-8 be readable by 4?
