E-mailing from XNVIEW

Postby Penintel » Mon Jun 30, 2008 1:03 am

Hello!

Still and ever a happy user of POCOMAIL 4.5. I am meeting with a problem to send pictures directly from XNVIEW. The window opens all right (in XNV) I add my message to the photo, press the "Send button" and everything disappears, but the message is not sent. I read something about MAPI, but do not know what to do...
Sorry if the question has already been put!
And thanks for any advice!

Since you're sending it directly from XNView, it has nothing to do with MAPI or Poco.

If you however send the images to Poco through MAPI, than it won't work. :?

I think you need to insert your outgoing server into XNView and allow it to send messages. Did your firewall alert you that XNView wanted to make a connection Pierre.

Something else blocking the connection :?:

BTW I'm moving this topic to Email Hall. ;)

E-mailing pictures

Merci Eric!

Better continue in English, so others can follow too.

If you're trying to send photos to Poco through MAPI, than it's bound to fail since neither Poco, nor Barca support MAPI at present. :?

You don't have to install MAPI, since it's already present on your machine. Those email programs address the MAPI-protocol, so it will only work with those applications who support it.

No problem.

Take care & perhaps MAPI will be addressed in the next major build, although that's speculation on my part. ;)
