"old" style junkmail processing

I do not use the new Baysian filtering etc because I use an email forwarder which does a remarkable job of filtering junk mail before it ever reaches me (from 120 spams per day down to about 2 per day). However, a few junk mails still sneak thru of course. It is these few I wish to process within Poco.

It used to be easy when Poco had a button that I could click (as easy as a delete button) and the junk mail was gone including the update of the "junksender.txt" file. But now I must go thru a multi-step process. I must right click the offending junkmail, pick "Junk Mail Filtering, scroll down a sub menu list and choose "Ban Sender's Domain" in order to update the "junksender.txt" file. Then additionally, I must go back to my Inbox and delete the junkmail itself. This all was done in one click before. Is there an easier way?

As I suspect the answer to my above question is NO -- could there be a way to at least highlight multiple msgs at once, do the steps above, and process allt he msgs at once? Unless I'm missing something, I can only seem to process one junkmail msg at a time withthe new multi-step process.

Check out the "Ban_Domain_and_Delete" script in the scripts section of the extras area. If you assign this script to a button you should be able to do it all with one click.

Thanks Michael........now why didn't I think to look there????

Anyway, the script is great -- even better than the old built-in method because the script checks to see if the domain is already in the junksenders.txt file. I used to have to weed duplicates out periodically.

I changed the script so that it moves the msg to the "junk mail.mbx" instead of to trash -- and I'm in business.
