When I receive incoming mail that has an image displayed - mine does not display, (example: airline guest card does not show detail). Would appreciate help on what settings to activate to rectify problem.

Do you block images or sanitize your messages through a filter, an event?
Else look above the Preview pane and open the drop down menu.
Uncheck Block images or Sanitize HTML, so that images will be downloaded from the server. :)

Also check to see if your firewall doesn't block that connection.

Hope that helps. ;)

Thanks Eric, I had already looked at those things. I have had no trouble with other images, only those 'embedded' in the text. I am using gmail and checked this particular email on the google server and it is just the same so maybe it is something to do with the sender source.

You're welcome tuanton. ;)

That's one other thing which may cause your issue. Another would be incorrect HTML. :?
Maybe if you look at the source of the message you may be able to fix it.
If not, send the message as an attachment to Support for further investigation.

Good luck with it & keep me informed. ;)

I know this thread is more related to *embedded* images, but one interesting thing that I discovered recently regarding *remote* images not displaying. (Where only the yellow place holder shows)

I have certain emails from specific senders where either all or some of the remote images in their mails do not display in Barca/PM. The images show fine in other email clients.

So I examined the raw code of the message and found that if the location (url) of the remote image is defined in the html img tag uses https:// rather than just http:// then the image will not display in Barca/PM.

I took one such email from PayPal where none of the images will display, only the image place holders show up. I edited the raw code and did a search and replace of all instances of https: and replaced with http: saved it and the images all show fine after doing so.

Barca/PM doesn't seem to know how to deal with references to a secure https url.

Thought others might find this interesting. And maybe help explain the mystery of images not always being displayed despite correct image display configuration settings.
