Messages not being deleted from server

Postby RBernier » Tue May 31, 2005 10:59 pm

I am using PocoMail 3.4.0.2130. I have four POP email accounts defined. All four accounts are set up with the option to "Leave mail on server" "Remove from server when emptied from trash". This was working fine until yesterday. One of the four accounts is a fastmail account. Yesterday afternoon I had occasion to log into my fastmail web account. l was very surprised to find 138 unread messages in my inbox. All but 3 messages were messages that had already been read and deleted at various times during the day in PocMail.

Whenever I "finish" a session in PocoMail, I have a routine that I follow very rigidly. 1) empty junk mailbox. 2) empty trash. 3) compress all mailboxes. Following this routine, and based on the way that PocoMail is supposed to work, there is no reason that all of these messages should have remained on the Fastmail server.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?
