502 command is locally disabled

Postby FieldDir121 » Wed Apr 08, 2009 8:42 am

All,

What does the message below mean?

Logging into smtp-server.roadrunner.com server...
502 Command is locally disabled

When I try to send certain e-mails this message comes up in the log and the e-mail will not send.

Other e-mails send and receive without problem.

Pocomail 3.4.0.2130, WinXP Pro sp2

Hi Scott,

Usually that means that you are trying a functionality that the server doesn't support - usually authentication.

It's strange that it only happens with some email messages, and not with all of them.

Still please check the account setting, Outgoing tab, that you don't have "Use Outgoing Server Authentication" ticked.
(If they dont' require it, that's it. I quickly checked and I think they don't, but not sure.)
