.eml extension

Postby CellarDweller » Thu Sep 23, 2004 3:13 pm

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting in the new forums, even though I've been lurking since they opened. You might remember me from the old forums. You might not. Either way, maybe someone can help me. :)

I notice that when I save an email using Ctrl+S or File > Save Message, that it gives the email message an ".eml" extension. That means whenever I open the message, it opens in Outlook Express, not PocoMail. This is a problem because, being a web developer, I need to keep OE on my computer for certain kinds of testing now and then.

Is there a workaround for this, or any kind of solution? I'd like to be able to save messages from PocoMail, and be able to open them back up in PocoMail. I also would rather not save it as ".txt" or ".html" either.

Thanks for any help.

Do you have PM set as your default email client? If so, and the .eml is not registered to PM, you can always set the extension .eml to coordinate with PM. After doing so, OE would not open up for you.

Ah yes! I hadn't thought of that. Thank you! :)
