POP with SSL still hanging while checking mail in 3.4.0.2130

Postby Drugstore Cowboy » Tue Mar 22, 2005 3:24 am

I was wondering if anyone else is still experiencing this problem. My ISP requires SSL for login, which the program does provide for (Socket 995) and to enable SSL in the accounts setup. Once I go to check mail with that account, it says in the log that it is logging in and then stays there and goes no further until it times out or I stop it.

I have gone as far as shutting off any firewalls or anything else that could possibly interfere with it's operation, but nothing changed. Yet for some strange reason it works perfectly in Thunderbird 1.0 etc. I had high hopes that this might have been fixed in this new release but it wasn't.

Does anyone have any other suggestions that could help? Any advice is appreciated.
