U3 Pocomail - Spell check loses link to dictionary

Postby dzak » Thu Jan 04, 2007 2:13 am

I recently migrated from using Pocomail PE on a non-U3 drive to a U3 drive. Now whenever I install the drive and invoke pocomail I have to manually perform a "Locate Dictionaries" (Tools->Configure Spelling->Locate Dictionaries-> browse to /data folder for poco app on U3 drive) for Pocomail to find and recognize the dictionary (American.adm). I did not have this problem with the non-U3 drive. I downloaded the version of pocomail I am currently using on the U3 drive via the www.u3.com website so I'd expect it to work on U3. I requested help on this problem from the Poco helpdesk a few weeks ago but they have been unresponsive so I hope someone on this forum has seen the same thing and has some suggestions.

Thanks.

Tried to reproduce it here, but since I'm not yet accustomed to a U3 drive , it gives me some problems.

Don't know where you send your message to, but Support has been improved recently, so you should have gotten an answer from Support.
Make sure the response hasn't been blocked/erased by your ISP or any other spam blocker you use.

Hope Tomas will be able to respond to your problem better.

I'm also a little confused as to which product I really need. All I want is to have portable email on my U3 drive. I purchased Pocomail PE a few weeks ago for $45, but in looking at the online Pocosystems store now I see Pocomail (non-PE) for $40 and MyInfoToGo for $20. It's not clear to me what the difference in these 3 products are. Maybe what I really want is MyInfoToGo but if so I feel kind of cheated since I just paid $45. Any help in clarifying this would be appreciated. Thanks.

MyInfoToGo is a new app, just released some time ago.
My guess it wil replace PocoMail PE completely in time. :)
Send a PM to Tomas and maybe something can be done about it.

Good luck & best wishes for 2007.

MyInfoToGo price is a special one, because as Eric said it was released just a short time ago. I think it will not stay that way for long (anyway, that's just personal opinion, I have no information in that respect).

For the rest, I replied your PM.

In short, it might have something to do with path settings, or maybe deletion of spell.ini could help.
