mail directories

I have a question that I would like answered if possible. i have the directories for mail, addresses, attachments etc located on my server and am accessing them from my computer. To do this I have changed the directories to point to my server. My question is, how can I make this the default location for these folders? I need to do this as every time i shut my computer down then start it when I open Barca it has reset all the directories to the original ones on my local drive. This is becoming a right pain so please let me know what to do, thanks.
