Setting default font for new calendar items

Postby CyberRanger » Thu Feb 19, 2009 7:33 am

For some reason, the default font for new calendar items has changed in my Barca Pro. It used to default to Tahoma 8 pt & now defaults to the hideous MS Sans Serif 10 pt. I'm using Vista Basic SP1 & the latest release of Barca Pro, 2.5.0.3910.

Its a pain in butt to have to change the font for every new calendar item that's created.

I've looked thru the help info & can't find a way to change this. I don't mind editing an INI file if necessary. Does BP pull this font from somewhere in Windoze?

Thanks!

There is some kind of a strange though seemingly harmless bug. In my quick tests, the MS Sans Serif didn't really matter, eventhough it was displayed as if it was default one, the items appeared in the other font. (MS Sans Serif seems to only appear if the default index font is changed.)

The font that will/shall be used, is pulled from Barca settings, it's the default index font: select Tools > Customize, Display Fonts tab, it's the first one.

Upon closer inspection, I now realize there is something else I didn't mention in my 1st post. I've gotten so used to using this configuration, I'd forgotten its not the original setup for BP.

I have set up a 2nd calendar as a public calendar that, although its not published per se (anywhere except my own hard drive), functions as a secondary calendar. My BP calendar serves as a calendar for my family as well as myself & a single calendar was getting too crowded.

This behavior only occurs in my public calendar. New calendar items still initially display as MS Sans Serif 10 pt, regardless of what the default index font is--I just tried it. I have to manually reset them to Tahoma 8 pt when creating new calendar items.
