Adding a BCC

Postby marcbelanger » Sun Sep 13, 2009 4:03 am

Hello,

I've created a very simple script, but it isn't working.

* THE SCRIPT (addbcc):

AddBCC %m xxx@gmail.com
Exit

* THE FILTER

I've added the script (addbcc) to all outgoing accounts

Any help would be appreciated.

Marc

Hi, Marc.

Change the variable %m to %message.

Then it might be best if you edit your first post to disguise your email address. Protect yourself from spambots, ex-wives, etc. :lol:

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the quick reply - much appreciated.

As for the posted email address, it was a fake. But thanks for taking the time to change it.

Not me. That was the ghostly hand of a moderator at work.

Not wanting to be disputatious here, but maybe I'll add a minor correction just for completeness. The address may not be yours, but it is not fake. It tests as valid at a few address verifiers and turns up in Google (starting at about the 4th page), just as one expects with an address that consists of a common personal name at a genuine email service.

That's also why I masked it.
We don't want an innocent person to be flooded with spam. :evil:
