Modifying forward subject

Postby FFF » Sat Oct 01, 2011 4:07 am

Hi,
what i'd like to do, but don't know how:
I get a mail to a given account. This i have to forward to some other recipients, my address should be used as "to", a group out of my addressbook as "bcc". And at the beginning of the subject line a fixed text should be inserted. Is that possible? And if yes, how?

TIA
Karl

It's possible through a custom script, you can check the Scripts forum for inspiration.

Just out of my head.
If the mail comes in a certain folder, you could try the OnAdd event to forward with a template.
Maybe I'm wrong, but it's worth it to test it out :)

Hello FFF,
for this kind of problem the right person is MarkB - see Script Help and How-to in this part of the forum. He is something like the mastermind of script writing, very friendly and helpful! Actually, if you go there and look into "Fusion of two scripts", one of the most recent subjects, you will find exactly what your are looking for: The elements for changing the subject line and the script line needed to have Pocomail, with the help of an filter, add to all outgoing mail a fix address to BCC
Nice sunday afternoon,
