Good morning,
for some strange reason, the paper-clip icon in the paper-clip column (index columns) is not reliably indicated if attachments are delivered with a message. This is very annoying as this information is very helpful in order to see at a glance, which messages do have attachments and which ones do not.
Background info : often I receive several messages with identical subject from my customers within a short period of time (an hour, or so). Often some of the messages do have attachments (files to translate, reference pdf's, pictures, etc.), some only contain text. My message pane size is configured so it shows 8 message-lines. Because in many cases the paper-clip icon is (for some reason) not shown, even if a message has an attachment, I cannot see at a glance which message I have to check, whether it carries the attachment I'm looking for. So I have to check each single message, in order to find the one(s) that has/have attachments and could eventually contain the material that I'm looking for. It's really very annoying and time-consuming.
I read on the forum, that it might have to do with "inline" attachments. But in my opinion it doesn't matter, what type of attachment we talk about. It should be indicated by the paper-clip icon in the paper-clip column in any case.
Is there a logical reason for this strange behaviour ? Is there a fix or workaround ? Can it be fixed at all ? Can anybody help me please... Eric, Tomas
Thanks in advance.
